Focus TV lays off 55 employees

Focus TV has asked has asked 55 employees to resign, confirm Industry sources.   This is across editorial , marketing and sales.

Market rumour also suggests that Naveen Jindal is looking to wind up Focus TV operations and has already struck a deal for Focus TV Haryana. 

Focus TV is likely to shut down their Bangla and Assamese channels indicate industry insiders; however sources also maintain that Focus TV maybe looking to sell these channels, to a national news TV player. There has been no confirmation on this yet.

As reported by exchange4media yesterday veteran journalist Sandeep Bamzai  who had joined as  News Editor in April this year has also stepped down.
