eNBA 2011: NDTV 24x7 – a journey in credible, balanced, high quality news

It came as no surprise when English news channel NDTV 24x7 was declared News Channel of the Year – English at the e4m News Broadcasting Awards, held in New Delhi on August 27, 2011. And collecting the Award was none other than Vikram Chandra, CEO, NDTV Group, who graciously thanked his “fantastic news team”.

NDTV 24x7 bagged this coveted Award for continuing to offer credible and balanced, news high quality on air programming and running public service campaigns that have led to change in Government policies and have impacted national attitude towards these issues such as Save Our Tigers, India’s dying coastline, polluted rivers, Marks for Sports, Support My School, among others.

Collecting the Award for NDTV 24x7, Vikram Chandra said, “Television business is always a team game and I think at NDTV 24x7 we’ve been blessed with one of the most fantastic news teams in Indian television, in a sense a team from where the entire industry has grown and spread. On behalf of that team, we accept this Award, thank you.”
