Doordarshan reshuffles senior management echelon

Following the change in government at the Centre, the much-awaited reshuffle in Doordarshan has finally been made into effect.

As a consequence of the shake up, over a dozen senior-level Doordarshan officials have been affected. Sudhir Tandon, Senior Director - Programming at Directorate General, has been posted as Director, Doordarshan Kendra Delhi in place of Basharat Ahmed who is now the new Director, Central Production Centre (CPC). The current Director, CPC, Ananya Banerjee, has been shifted to Doordarshan Directorate as Director - Programming.

Sirajuddin Qureshi, Director, Srinagar Doordarshan Kendra, has been shifted to the Bhopal station. His place has been taken up by Shezadi Simon, Director - Programming at Doordarshan Directorate. Dr Nilima Harjal, Director - Programming at Doordarshan Directorate has been posted as Director of Shillong Doordarshan Kendra in place of Daljeet Singh who had been made Director of Lucknow wing.

Raj Shekhar Vyas, Director - Programming at Doordarshan Directorate has been shifted to Kolkata as the head of Doordarshan Kendra. BM Bakshi, Director at BDK Delhi has been shifted to Doordarshan Directorate as Director - Programming. GL Sharma, Director Programming at CPC has been made Director of Jullandhar Doordarshan Kendra. Sita Nanda who has been working as Director - Programming at Doordarshan Directorate is the new Director of Bhubneswar Doordarshan Kendra.

Dr Ashok Tripathi, Director Programming at Doordarshan Directorate has been sent to Doordarshan Kendra Lucknow as Director STI (P). Kuber Dutt, Chief Producer, CPC, has been made Chief Producer, Doordarshan Kendra Patna, while Mahesh Joshi, Director, Marketing Division (SZ), Prasar Bharati Bangalore has been brought to Doordarshan Directorate as Director - Programming.
