DD awards television production contract for cricket matches to Worldsport Nimbus
Doordarshan (DD) has awarded the television production contract for cricket matches played in India to Worldsport Nimbus. DD will pay Worldsport Nimbus Rs 28.49 crore for production.
According to sources, this was the lowest bid received by DD. TWI’s bid was the second lowest at around Rs 31 crore, while WorldTel’s offer was at Rs 39 crore.
The term of the contract will be from February 21, 2002, to October, 2004. Worldsport Nimbus will have to arrange for production of 81 days of cricket.Source: Financial Express
