Colors pits 'Bajirao Mastani' against Sony TV's 'The Kapil Sharma Show'

The audience is waiting eagerly to see the ace comedian Kapil Sharma’s return on stage. As he gets ready to make his comeback with the ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ on April 23rd on Sony TV at 9 pm, Colors on the other hand has plans of giving him a stiff competition. The channel instead of running ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’ will be premiering the much acclaimed movie--Bajirao Mastani’ on the same day at 9 pm.

To keep the excitement level high, promos of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ are running on TV and it can be seen that actor Sharukh Khan will be the first special guest on his show. On the other hand, promos of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ are also being aired well in advance on Colors. Reports suggest that this movie will be aired without any break, giving enough reason for the audience to tune in.

According to reports, Sony has spent approximately Rs 50 lakh just for the first promo of ‘The Kapil Sharma’ show. With the intention of getting the show closer to the audience, the first episode was shot in Delhi, with a live audience.

After their last comedy show—‘Comedy Circus’, Sony TV with the launch of Kapil Sharma’s new show, will be returning to this genre after a gap of 4-5 years.
