BARC ratings: Sun TV, Zee Marathi, Big Ganga and Asianet lead in regional markets

In week 35 (August 29 – September 4, 2015) the regional ratings of BARC saw Sun TV continue its leadership in the Tamil markets. Zee Marathi, Zee Telugu, Colors Kannada, Big Magic Ganga, Asianet and Star Jalsha topped their markets. Surya TV in the Kerala market moved to No.2 spot.  

Among the Tamil channels (Tamil/Puducherry markets C&S 1Lakh+) Sun TV gained the highest viewership with 285 million. It was followed by KTV that moved up to No.2 spot with 104 million. Star Vijay was at No.3 spot with 68 million.

Among the Marathi channels (Maharashtra/Goa markets C&S 1lakh+), Zee Marathi stood on top with ratings of 83 million. Colors Marathi was at No.2 spot with ratings of 38 million, followed by Zee Talkies with ratings of 29 million in week 35.

Among the Telugu channels (Andhra Pradesh/Telangana markets C&S 1lakh+), Zee Telugu was on top with ratings of 144 million. At No.2 spot Maa TV saw its ratings grow to 120 million. ETV at No.3 spot saw its ratings at 117 million.

Among the Kannada channels (Karnataka market C&S 1lakh+), Colors Kannada was on top spot in week 35 with ratings of 57 million. Zee Kannada was at No.2 with ratings of 39 million. Suvarna made it to No.3 spot with ratings of 34 million.

Among the Bhojpuri channels (Bihar and Jharkhand market C&S 1lakh+), Big Ganga had a viewership of 38% share as its ratings stood at 5,127 (‘000s). ETV Bihar Jharkhand was at No.2 spot with an 18% viewership share and ratings of 2,453 (‘000s). Dangal TV made it at No.3 with viewership share of 12% and with ratings of 1,622 (‘000s).

Asianet in the Malayalam channels (Kerala market C&S 1lakh+) was on top with 166 million. Surya TV came in next at No.2 with ratings of 55 million. Mazhavil Manorama was at No.3 with ratings of 53 million.

Among the Bangla channels (West Bengal C&S 1lakh+) Star Jalsha was on top with ratings of 84 million. Zee Bangla came in next with ratings of 70 million and was followed by Jalsha Movies at No.3 with ratings of 17 million.
