AXN announces third Action Awards

AXN has announced the third AXN Action Awards, a platform that felicitates the action heroes of Bollywood, this May. The channel would showcase a special curtain raiser on May 11 at 8 pm for the Awards. With actress Neha Dhupia as the hostess, the AXN Action Awards aim to be even bigger in its third year.

Sunder Aaron, Country Head, AXN India, said, “AXN Action Awards is back by popular demand, and this time it is bigger, better and slicker than ever before.”

AXN Action Awards was created keeping in tandem with the channel’s proposition of bringing the viewers action, adventure and excitement. We will continue to not only felicitate the talent and effort that goes into creating the best cinematic action, but also recognise the importance of action as a popular genre in Bollywood through this unique platform.”

This year, AXN continues the format of voting, wherein viewers would play the most important role of felicitating the unsung heroes of action. AXN Action Awards 2008 is co-presented by Vodafone and Bingo in association with Garnier Fructis, McDonalds, TVS Flame and Maruti Suzuki. Media partners on the property are Red FM and PVR Cinemas.
