Alliance Group to launch 24-hour real estate channel in July

The Alliance Group has decided to launch a 24-hour television channel dedicated to real estate, in July. The channel would be free-to-air, and available on cable and DTH platforms across the country. The Alliance Group is a Rs 4,400 crore real estate enterprise.

“The channel, with an investment outlay of Rs 100 crore, would offer real estate related programmes. It would provide comprehensive, latest and authentic updates on all aspects of real estate including infrastructure, to viewers all over the country, as well as the south and south-east Asian region and the Gulf states,” said Manoj Namburu, CMD, Alliance Group.

The pan-India English-language channel was put together under the advice and guidance of well-known media personality, Sashi Kumar. TK Vibhaker would be the channel’s COO, while the Creative Head of the channel would be Ajit Bhaskaran, who has a media experience of 15 years. Pankaj Saxena, a TV producer and programmer with over 20 years of experience, will be Head-Programming and Production. MK Shankar would be the channel’s News Editor.

“The channel would break even in a relatively short time as there are about 261 industries directly connected to the real estate industry, which itself has now emerged as the largest advertiser,” said Vibhaker.

Most of the channel’s key programmes have been innovatively designed to showcase Indian real estate and provide unique infotainment of a high order. The programming is geared to meet the expectations and tastes of the players in the sector as well as the common household.

The channel would have news bureaux and state-of-the-art studios in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata.
