Print ad volumes rose 2.2 times during 2008, as compared to 1999. There was a 3.6 times increase in average number of ads appearing per day in newspapers during 2008 over 1999. Banking/ Finance/ Investment was the only sector to maintain its 3rd rank during 1999 and 2008.
