Mandolin Sky, Eyeworks in pact for ‘Test the Nation’ TV event

Mandolin Sky Entertainment (Msky), a Mumbai-based TV and film production company promoted by Rajiv Vyas, Mahrru Sheikh and Mozez Singh, has tied up with Eyeworks, a leading international production company headquartered in The Netherlands, to license and produce one of the biggest and most successful, blockbuster IQ-based TV events ever, ‘Test the Nation’.

In India, some the most iconic shows for broadcasters have been quiz-related shows, ideal for family viewing and participation, starting from the ‘Bournvita Quiz Contest’, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, ‘Dus ka Dum’, and the recently launched ‘Sach ka Samna’. All of them have brought in audience involvement and appointment viewing.

‘Test the Nation’ is a live and interactive TV event, which gives people the chance to find out information about themselves as individuals. In so doing, the show claims to build up the biggest-ever profile of local people in the 21st century and gives the country the chance to find out about everything about itself, bringing together the masses with the classes and creating a common platform that can become a movement for all stratas of a nation.

‘Test the Nation’ has been successfully telecast in 51 countries till date, and claims to have managed to attract maximum eyeballs repeatedly, making it a risk-proof property.

In all countries, the tests featured on each show have been devised in conjunction with some of the world’s leading experts in the field of psychometric testing. The tests have scientific basis, but are adapted for each individual territory in order to have the maximum visual appeal for television. There are combinations of word and number tests, psychometric puzzles and challenges, but the emphasis is always on fun, with a serious underlying purpose – to get a ‘blueprint’ of the nation.

Mandolin Sky is the producer of the popular chat show ‘On the couch with Koel’ being telecast on Headlines Today. The show has hosted celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Baba Ramdev, Aamir khan, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif, Anurag Kashyap, and several other sports and political heavyweights, including Pervez Musharraf, Amar Singh, and Shashi Tharoor, among others.
