Span Communications has once again won the global media mandate for Ministry of Tourism’s Incredible India. More than 13 media agencies had taken part in the pitch process, which was called in the month of May, to handle the global television and print campaign in America, South East Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia, Japan, China and a host of other countries. The account is estimated to be worth Rs 200 crore.
Span Communications has been awarded Incredible India’s electronic media campaign for the European market to promote tourism in India. The pitch for all continents was called in November 2010. The ad spend for the campaign, which will be rolled out shortly, is estimated at Rs 50 crore.
Span Communications has won the media duties for Indiabulls Securities account. The agency will handle the media buying and planning of Indiabulls Securities. Onads Communications had won the creative duties for Indiabulls Securities account in August, this year. According to industry sources, the account size is pegged at around Rs 10-15 crore. The incumbent agency was Dentsu Media.
Ministry of Tourism (MOT) has just concluded the pitch for the first phase of Incredible India’s online campaign. Span Communications has been awarded this part of the business. Sources informed that every year MOT spends Rs 15-20 crore on its online media campaign in domestic and international markets. The pitch for the second phase would be announced soon.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), which unveiled its new brand name – ‘Aadhaar’ – and logo last month, is now scouting for an agency to handle its creative and media duties. The pitch was called last week and it is known that agencies like Span Communications, Lowe, Rediffusion Y&R, Dentsu and Percept are in the fray for the business. Industry sources have pegged the account size at over Rs 100 crore.
Span Communications and Crayons Advertising have once again bagged the advertising duties for part of Incredible India’s international campaign. Span Communications has bagged the business for TV campaign in Europe and America, while the print campaign in Europe has been assigned to Crayons Advertising.
