Radio City makes senior appointments in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore

Radio City has made some key appointments to facilitate its growth and expansion plans following the recent acquisition of 16 new FM licenses and the launch of its stations in Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore.

Rana Barua has been appointed as the Head - South Zone at Radio City. As part of his new assignment, Barua will be responsible for three key markets – Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. He is an experienced hand in the advertising industry with successful stints in agencies such as Rediffusion, Dentsu, McCann Erickson, Lowe, Ogilvy and JWT for over 10 years. Prior to joining Radio City, Barua was Vice-President and General Manager at Bates Enterprise, Mumbai.

Mohan Vizhakat has been roped in to head technology and IT. He will be based in Mumbai. Vizhakat has over 19 years' experience in project management, IT infrastructure management, consultancy, IT-telecom integrated solutions, networking and information security across industry segments. Vizhakat had also received an award from the President of India in 2001 for exemplary performance in project management during his tenure in the armed forces. Few of his previous assignments include Airtel Enterprise Solutions, Indecomm Global Services and Defence Research and Development Organization.

Another new appointment is that of Anil Dhimri, who has joined as Head, Projects and Infrastructure. An industry veteran with over 27 years' experience, Dhimri has handled several large office infrastructure projects with emphasis on cost saving in organisations such as Tata Teleservices, Tata Cellular and Tata Unisys Ltd. He will be also based in Mumbai.
