Pepper 2009, the annual creative awards function of Cochin Advertising Club has started inviting entries from advertising agencies in south India and has kept March 15 as the last date for receipt of entries. The awards function will be held at Le Meridien on April 3.
A panel of eminent personalities from Indiaâs creative world will evaluate entries for Pepper 2009. A three-member panel comprising Prathap Suthan, National Creative Director, Cheil Worldwide, South West Asia; Josy Paul, Chairman and National Creative Director, BBDO India; and Sajan Raj Kurup, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer, Creativeland Asia, will be members of the jury for Pepper 2009.
PK Natesh, Chairman, Pepper Award Committee 2009, said that the competition would be open to categories such as Agency of the Year, Advertiser of the Year, Art Director of the Year, Copywriter of the Year, Special Jury Award, Campaign of the Year, Photography, Packaging, Logo Design, Unpublished Works, and Promos.
The third edition of Pepper 2009 will also have an exclusive section for participants from Kerala, covering jewellery, real estate, textile, hospitality, ayurveda and others. Winners would be presented with gold, silver and bronze awards, and certificates.
Advertising Club of Cochin had formed an 11-member Trust to plan and conduct the Pepper Awards every year to ensure that it will have more thrust and continuity. The Club, which has 560 members, has been organising the creative award function for the past 13 years. Besides the Creative Award Function, the Club regularly organises seminars and workshops to enhance the creative abilities of advertising professionals in Kochi.
