Arc Worldwide gets a Webby Honoree for Jaagore.com

After winning at the Abby’s, Arc Worldwide’s award-winning site Jaagore.com has been selected as an Official Honoree in the Activism category at the 13th Annual Webby Awards.

The site, designed and developed by Arc Worldwide, features a first-of-its-kind online registration engine, which allows people to register to vote within a span of five minutes. Internet and mobile technologies integrating the GIS maps are used to provide an end-to-end platform to facilitate voter registration.

Speaking of this honour, CVS Sharma, Head of Arc Worldwide, said, “As an agency, of course we’re very proud of the accolades that we have received for Jaagore.com. Having said that, we truly believe that the site has made a difference. There are 6 lakh people who registered to vote on the site and this will definitely effect the upcoming elections.”

The Webby Awards, also called the Oscars of the Internet, recognise creative excellence in websites, Internet advertising, online film and video and mobile websites. The awards are judged by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences.

This year, the Webbys received about 10,000 entries from more than 60 countries, and all the states in the US.
