Following a multi-agency pitch, Wella India has appointed AMO Communications, a Percept-Hakuhodo Company, as its creative partner. Jitendra Khokle, COO, AMO Communications has confirmed the development.
In an official note Khokle said, âWe have been operating in the lifestyle and retail brands area for quite some time and we have a lot to offer to the brand â Wella. Our task at hand will be to build and strengthen further awareness and increase footfalls to their specialty hair and beauty salons to start with.â
The media mix for the brand will initially comprise print and BTL activities, including in-salon activities. The brand is positioned as a premium brand, which brings along with it international expertise and breakthrough innovation in hair care for the professional segment.
Wella India Hair Cosmetics Pvt Ltd, now part of P&G, is a German professional hair cosmetics brand specialising in haircare, hair colouring, hair styling, hair straightening and hair perming. It currently operates through more than 4,000 specialty beauty salons in 30 cities across India.
