His rich experience spans over 25 years and he was actually involved in launching Aaj Tak, which grew to be popular from the word go.
The second day of the workshop on ‘Comparative Perspective on Media Regulation and Society’, held in Delhi on December 15-16, 2010, saw discussions on the role of media in the society and explored that how broadcast media can best contribute to the Indian society for its betterment.
Star India is hosting a two-day workshop on ‘Comparative Perspectives on Media Self-Regulation and Society’ in Delhi on December 14-15, 2010. The workshop will explore international and comparative perspectives on media regulation as it affects current debates and the future role of information in society.
Along with shifting the telecast timings of ‘Bigg Boss’ and ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf’ to after 11 pm, the I&B Ministry has also restrained news channels from showing clippings of these two shows between 5 am and 11 pm, terming them as ‘adult’ content. News channel editors have called it a move in the right direction and stressed that news should have some sensitivity.
