IBF and AAAI sign agreement; first meeting of joint working committee on April 4
Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) and Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) announced on March 28 that they had signed an agreement that would have a far reaching impact on the industry. The agreement is valid till March 31, 2010. The first meeting of the joint working committee of IBF and AAAI would take place on April 4, 2008 in Goa.
Jawahar Goel, President, IBF, said âWe welcome this development. The joint working committee of the two bodies has helped streamline procedures, resolve disputes, and improve billing and collection practices in the past. The renewed agreement is designed to tackle the challenges of our rapidly changing environment, and we are confident that it will be enormously beneficial for all stakeholders.â
Madhukar Kamath, President, AAAI, said âWe are all delighted at the signing of this agreement. We are positive it will have a progressive influence on areas such as negotiation, campaign planning, compensation, credit period, monitoring systems, etc.â
Kamath further said, âIBF members have whole heartedly supported and participated in AAAIâs GoaFest this year. Times Now, TVTN and Zoom are the key sponsors. The Conclave will be attended by IBF stalwarts such as G Krishnan, CEO, TV Today; Rohit Gupta, President-Sales and Revenue, Multiscreen Media; Raj Nayak, CEO, NDTV Media; and I Venkat. In addition, Sameer Nair, CEO, NDTV Imagine, would also be one of the speakers at the Advertising Conclave starting from April 3, 2008.â
It may be recalled that exchange4media had reported on March 17, 2008 that IBF and AAAI were set to work together again with the resolution of differences between the two bodies.
