PHD launches new office in Pakistan

PHD on September 14 opened its 10th office in the Asia-Pacific region following its partnership with Manhattan International, a leading advertising and communications group in Pakistan. The affiliation will see PHD partnering with Manhattan to provide media communications solutions in Pakistan. The new partnership, PHD Pakistan, became operational in Karachi from September 14.

Cheuk Chiang, CEO - Asia Pacific, PHD, said, “PHD has been looking at the Pakistan market for quite some time. The establishment of PHD Pakistan will bring together two great cultures to form an even more dynamic team. This partnership is a significant development for the group and will mark the start of a new era in PHD’s operations in this part of the region.”

The agency’s new management structure will be led by Dara Bashir Khan as Chairman and Managing Director. Khan, an industry veteran with more than two decades of media experience, is a well-known figure within the advertising and media arena in Pakistan. His experience across multiple communications disciplines and knowledge of the local network will provide a strong support to the partnership.

Commenting on the new launch, Khan said, “We are delighted to be able to partner with PHD. There is a distinct synergy in the way that we work. PHD is known to be a challenger brand, and we have long been known to be a team that is always motivated to make a difference. This partnership is a right fit for us as it will bring together Manhattan’s experience within the local network as well as PHD’s strong international reputation for strategic and innovative thinking.”
