New Generation Media Corporation has announced the launch of Puthiya Thalaimurai, a 24-hour Tamil news channel with a global outlook. Grey Worldwide has been roped in as the creative agency, while OMD is handling the media duties. The channel will be marketed by Fourth Dimension Media Solutions.

Association of Indian Magazine (AIM) has announced that it will conduct an ‘Engagement Study’ for magazine, which could act as an alternate source of data for advertisers. Pradeep Gupta, President AIM, announced this decision at Indian Magazine Congress (IMC) on day two, after advertisers and media agencies voiced their concerns over the measurement issue, which has marred the magazine industry for long.
Diversified Chennai-based SRM Group, which launched Tamil weekly magazine ‘Puthiya Thalaimurai’ in October 2009 under it’s media division, Generation Now Media, is gearing up to further expand as a media conglomerate.
