Red FM bats for IPL’s Mumbai Indians

Red FM has caught the DLF Indian Premiere League (IPL) fever and has come all out to support the Mumbai Indians team, which is backed by the Mukesh Ambani Group. As radio partners, Red FM Mumbai is all set to create the right noise for the Mumbai Indians and enable Mumbaikars to cheer the loudest for their favourite team.

Commenting on the partnership, Kaushik Roy, Director, Indiawin Sports, said, “We are very excited about this League, and we feel that the people of Mumbai have the spirit to bring in the excitement and energy into the game. That’s why they are called the Mumbai Indian Paltan – people who can singlehandedly make the Mumbai Indians win every match. With the innovative ideas from Red FM, we are convinced that the Mumbai Indians would have a huge fan following right through the Tournament.”

Elaborating more on the partnership, Anuj Singh, National Marketing Head & Station Head (Mumbai), Red FM, said, “Red FM represents all that is Mumbai and when it comes to supporting the home team, the Mumbai Indians, we will leave no stone unturned. Red FM’s brand proposition stands on four pillars of programming, one of which is cricket. Through our partnership with the Mumbai Indians, we strengthen our brand promise of providing interesting and innovative content to our listeners.”

On its various initiatives, Singh explained, “The FM station plans an innovative campaign across online, print, outdoor and on ground activities. The different phases of the campaign would be unveiled in different stages, maintaining listener curiosity and involvement throughout the series.”

The station would air ‘Red FM - Yeh Kis Khet Ki Mooli hai’, wherein each Mumbai Indian would be introduced – where he is from, what are his special skills, how he feels about being a Mumbai Indian, etc. The station would also help the team recruit the ultimate support group – the Mumbai Indians Paltan.

Under the interactivity bit, Red FM RJs would be chatting with the team’s superstars such as Sachin Tendulkar and Harbhajan Singh. The station would also hold a contest called ‘Red FM Sab ke Sab PL’, where 10 lucky Red FM listeners would be given a chance to watch the Mumbai Indians in action along with the Red FM crew. Here, the listeners shall get the chance to reach out to the Mumbai Indians on the Red Mike and win exciting merchandise. Adding to this fun ride, Mumbaikars would be able to catch the Mumbai Indians Anthem first on Red FM.
