Radio One and HomeShop18 come together for ‘Wednesday Deal Days’

Radio One, the JV radio player of BBC and Mid-Day Multimedia, and HomeShop18 of Viacom18, have joined hands to provide deals on the radio station’s ‘Wednesday Deal Days’. The deals will be available in the cities in which Radio One has a presence –Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, and soon-to-be-launched Ahmedabad.

“We are honoured to partner with HomeShop18 for a symbiotic relationship. We are sure that the exponential rise we have seen in ‘Wednesday Deal Days’ participation from 100 SMSes as lead, in a day per station, to the current 12,000+ across our stations will rise even further, with attractive products from the HomeShop18 portfolio,” said Vineet Singh Hukmani, CEO, Radio One.

According to Sundeep Malhotra, CEO, HomeShop18, “Radio has recently become a popular medium to reach out to consumers. We are delighted to tie up with Radio One as it offers deals on products to its listeners. We are confident that with this mutually beneficial alliance, Radio One listeners would get the benefits of exciting products, exceptional value and outstanding shopping experience from HomeShop18.”

Commenting on the new association, Rajeev Bhandari, Station Head-Delhi, Radio One, said, “We are excited with the prospects of associating with a like-minded partner in the best deals space.”

An official communiqué from the radio player stated that this partnership would help HomeShop18 make its special offers more accessible to its customers throughout the day. Currently, HomeShop18 uses the web to promote its special product offers, and would also soon have its presence on television.
