Big FM searches for the next movie star through radio

Big 92.7 FM has joined hands with Big Screen Entertainment Pvt Ltd in the first ever national reality radio hunt – ‘Big Break’ – for the male lead in a Bollywood film. The station has titled the hunt – ‘Who will be Shekhar?’

Vishal Mull, National Creative Director, Big 92.7 FM, said, “A reality Bollywood talent hunt on radio is happening for the first time ever. Given our huge network of stations across the country, we are confident to find the right lover boy. Big 92.7 FM is proud to be associated with Big Screen Entertainment and together we want to create history with this first ever reality talent hunt on radio.”

Submission of entries is already on through the station’s website and will conclude on December 28. The contest will be judged by well-known filmmakers Raj Kumar Santoshi, Vishal Bharadwaj, Anurag Basu and actor Ajay Devgan. The judges will screen the candidates, interview them and announce the winner on Big 92.7FM. The station, would, however, keep the suspense alive regarding the winner and would announce the name only at when the film goes to the floors.

The film will also see the launch of Amita Mangat, daughter of Kumar Mangat, as the female lead, along with the winner of ‘Big Break’ as the male lead.
