TBWA India PR to start Bangalore office in July

TBWA India is ramping up its PR division. Its operations are set to commence in Bangalore from July, and the agency has roped in Sanjay Bose, Director- Branch Head, Bangalore, Vaishnavi Corporate Communications, as GM - South. The PR division already has its operations in Chennai.

Confirming the development, Sanjay Bose, said, “We will try to reach out beyond Bangalore and look at other cities. We are definitely looking at taking on people but will be starting small and grow with accounts coming in.”

He added that the agency might look at starting operations in Hyderabad in the next six months. Bose was the one who set up Rediffusion PR at Bangalore, and from there he moved to Vaishnavi to start Bangalore operations for the agency. He has spent close to three years with both. On the new assignment, he said, “We’ve got a good business plan working out. I’m taking it as a challenge.”

Dhrubajyoti Gayan, Vice President, TBWA India PR, said that though the PR division started late, it was growing steadily. “There’s a lot of business coming from the South. We are growing with a national focus, and hope to become a major force soon, nationally,” he added.

TBWA India PR is presently 30 people strong team with operations spread across Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata and Chennai. It also handles clients from other cities, including Coimbatore down South. Going forward, according to Bose, the focus cities across the South would include Hyderabad, Coimbatore and Cochin, besides Bangalore and Chennai.
