Tatva PR commences operations; appoints Shekhar Ghosh as CEO, Mehul Mehta as COO

Tatva PR, the PR firm promoted by Adfactors PR in which Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd holds a stake, started its operations from March 24 in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. The agency has appointed Shekhar Ghosh as its CEO. Ghosh would be assisted by Chief Operating Officer Mehul Mehta. Together, the two would lead the agency’s national business, strategy and client servicing operations across branches.

Commenting on the two key appointments, Madan Bahal, Director, Tatva PR, said, “We’re extremely fortunate to have two of the sharpest professionals heading our new venture, Tatva PR. I am confident that with these two at the helm, Tatva PR is bound to set a few benchmarks in the industry. I wish this new venture a great future.”

With over 25 years’ experience in the field of communications, Ghosh feels the Indian PR and communications industry is poised to leap into another orbit. “The market dynamics are changing rapidly. Public relations is evolving itself all over the world, in India even more so. The burgeoning economic growth of India, the country’s rapid globalisation and the technological strides are posing crucial challenges for the PR industry in India. At Tatva, along with my team, I hope to lead from the front in riding the crest of the impending growth,” he said.

Mehta, who has joined Tatva as its COO from the parent Adfactors PR, is well known for his acumen in business analysis, financial communications and investor relations. He was heading the investor relations practice as Vice-President at Adfactors PR before committing himself to Tatva PR. A chartered accountant by qualification, Mehta has 14 years’ experience in equity research and financial communications.

Ghosh brings with him a new perspective on PR and a considerable amount of knowledge and experience. A journalist for close to 18 years, Ghosh has spent over 12 years in business journalism with some of the most reputed journals in India such as Business India, Dateline Business, Business Today, Business Standard, and Outlook in senior editorial roles. He has also written for several prestigious international publications, including International Herald Tribune, Crain’s Chicago Business, Asia Inc. Hong Kong, Advertising Age, New York, and AFP, to name a few.

Prior to joining Tatva PR, Ghosh was CEO at Sampark for six months. He was earlier Chief Operating Officer at Edelman India, a joint venture with Edelman US, world’s largest privately owned PR consultancy. Before joining Edelman, Ghosh was Director, Strategy at Hanmer & Partners for five years.
