PROI reappoints Integral PR’s Sharif D Rangnekar as VP-APAC

Sharif D Rangnekar, Director and CEO, Integral PR, has been re-appointed for a further two-year term as Vice President for the Asia Pacific region of Public Relations Organisation International, Inc. (PROI), which is the world’s largest international partnership of independent PR agencies by fee income.

“Rangnekar’s appointment reflects the importance which PROI attaches to the Indian market and his contribution on PROI’s International Management Board will be very important as the organisation continues to expand into Asia-Pacific,” said Jean Leopold Schuybroek, President, PROI.

Commenting on PROI’s plan for the region, Rangnekar said, “The international partnership is constantly expanding in the Asia Pacific region based on the needs of our partners. At present, we are considering planning to add partners in a number of markets, including Malaysia, Australia and Indonesia.”

The Asia Pacific region has been in focus for PROI during the past two years. The past year has seen the addition of two agencies in India, China and one in Korea. The partnership already had a presence in Japan.
