Balaji Telefilms appoints Source Strategic Communication as PR agency

Balaji Telefilms has appointed Source Strategic Communication Pvt Ltd (The Source) to handle its corporate communications responsibilities.

“The Source had assisted Balaji Telefilms in projects like ‘Kyaa Kool Hai Hum’, ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’, etc. Reflecting upon their work and their dedication, it gives us immense pleasure that we would be working with The Source as a team again,” said Shobha Kapoor, MD & CEO, Balaji Telefilms.

“The services provided to us by The Source would include public relations, crisis management, marketing communication, and financial communication. The Source would also help Balaji evolve strategies, shape messages, plan effective communication programmes, and then implement them,” she added.

Balaji Telefilms Ltd is one of the most successful media companies and the largest fiction based television content provider in India. The company is primarily engaged in the production of television software in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.

Balaji Telefilms is promoted by veteran actor Jeetendra, his wife Shobha Kapoor and daughter Ekta Kapoor, and has to its credit many successful and long running serials, including ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’, ‘Kkusum’, ‘Kasautii Zindagi Kay’, ‘Hum Paanch’ (all in Hindi), ‘Pavitrabandham’ and ‘Kkavyanjali’ (Malayalam), ‘Kalyanee’ (Telegu), and ‘Kanavarukaaha’ (Tamil).

The Source, headed by Raju Kane, is an independent strategic communications consulting firm. The firm has three main divisions – public relations, content management and event management.
