TOI Response hands to head DNA’s operations in Chennai, Hyderabad

The DNA team is getting bigger by the day. Following Pratap Ravindranath, who joined as South Head, and Arun Sequeira, who moved in as Chief Manager for its Bangalore operations, DNA has now roped in Satish Mukundan and Rebecca Pothan from Times of India’s Response to complete the city heads list for South India.

Satish Mukundan, Senior Manager - Response, TOI Bangalore, anchoring the Mumbai Mirror initiatives from the garden city, will move in Chief Manager for Hyderabad. He has been with the TOI for over five years now, and has worked in the Hyderabad market on a previous media assignment.

Rebecca Pothan, Deputy Chief Manager at TOI Chennai, will be Chief Manager for DNA in Chennai. Rebecca started her media career with the TOI and has been with the group for over 15 years.

Pratap Ravindranath, confirming the developments to exchange4media, said, “These are the three focus markets in the South. The teams are being set up right now.” On people for its Cochin ad sales operations, he said, “We’re not on search mode for Cochin at this point.”

Now the Chief Managers of Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad, along with their South Head, will engage in putting a team in place across the three cities to handle South India. The next rung -- of junior level movements – is expected shortly. It is learnt from market sources that DNA is also scouting the southern market for editorial staff.
