Ranjeet Kate replaces Sunil Rajshekhar as CEO, Vijay Karnataka

Ranjeet Kate will replace Sunil Rajshekhar as CEO, Vijay Karnataka. Ranjeet Kate has been associated with the group for more than 14 years and has worked on different positions such as Director BCCL, and Director, Response and Languages. He is also a board member of World Wide Media.

Talking to exchange4media, Raj Jain, CEO, BCCL said, “Sunil Rajshekhar is retiring and will be replaced by Ranjeet Kate. This is a part of BCCL commitment to developing internal leadership for business roles.”

Currently Kate is Director, Response for the non metro branches and language newspapers, BCCL.

Talking to exchange4media, Ranjeet Kate said, Vijay Karnataka from the Times Group is the number one brand in the fast-growing Karnataka market. I am happy to take on the responsibilities of leading the VK team towards an even stronger position.”

In his new journey he will be based out of Bangalore and head Metropolitan Media (Times Group) which runs Vijay Karnataka.

In his long carrier of 26 years he has worked with brands such as HMV, Marico, ITC and Asian Paints. He started his journey with Asian Paints in 1988 as Depot Executive and moved to ITC as sales manager in 1990.

After working with ITC for more than three years he joined Marico as General Manager Marketing. He joined Saregama HMV as VP Marketing in 2000 and worked there for two years.
