Patrika hits Gwalior newsstands today

Further consolidating its presence in the Madhya Pradesh market, Patrika Group is all set to launch its Gwalior edition on April 15, 2010. Patrika is already present with its editions in the key cities of Madhya Pradesh that includes Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Ujjain and Ratlam.

In a span of less than two years, Patrika now covers vast regions of Madhya Pradesh. Speaking on the launch of the Gwalior edition, Arvind Kalia, National Marketing Head, Patrika Group, said, “We are celebrating the launch of our Gwalior edition today. Patrika has now emerged as the most powerful player in Madhya Pradesh with its new edition and covers the entire state.”

Gwalior, known as the tourist capital of Madhya Pradesh with a population of over 1.2 million, happens to be one of the most promising markets for advertisers and Patrika’s emphatic entry has certainly rang a bell for the other players. The events team of Patrika is already interacting with the major advertisers and corporate bodies of Gwalior.

The content of Patrika’s Gwalior edition includes – Main Edition (14 pages), Just Gwalior (4 pages) and Patrika Nano (12 pages), which make it a wholesome reading delight for the readers with 30 pages of news, views and interesting material.

With provision to print all coloured pages, there are few other highlights of the Gwalior edition that includes daily supplements like Just Gwalior and Patirka Nano; weekly supplements such as Parivaar (on Wednesdays), Bollywood (on Saturdays) and Humlog (on Sundays).

Patrika has carried out an extensive pre-launch campaign in Gwalior to give its brand the mandatory momentum and also create a niche for its iconic journalistic style. A team of 260 surveyors went round the city and conducted a survey before the launch and touched more than 1.22 lakh households.

Other than the newspapers, the Patrika Group is emerging as a complete media conglomerate, having spread its wings to web portal (, outdoor advertising (Planet Outdoor), Madhya Pradesh, FM radio (95 FM Tadka in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh), and many more new ventures.
