Indian Cellular Association to launch magazine on handsets market titled ‘My Mobile’ in December

Mymobile Infomedia Pvt Ltd, a company set up by Indian Cellular Association (ICA), will launch a monthly magazine, ‘My Mobile’, in December this year. The magazine will be priced at Rs 50 and will be available at newsstands. The ICA is a representative body of handset manufacturers as well as distributors and retailers.

“The magazine will be much more than a reference guide,” says Pankaj Mahindroo, President, ICA. “It will be a guide that would advise consumers about handsets, reatail outlets, accessories, after-market services, value added services, etc. The concept behind the magazine is to enhance the lives of consumers by giving them all the possible information on mobile phones.”

‘My Mobile’ is also targeting retailers. “We are targeting everybody including retailers. We have realized that their numbers are proliferating but they do not have the right resource guides to support them. With this magazine, we intend to provide even the retailers with all the information they seek,” Mahindroo said.

The ICA President said the editorial team is already in place. Asked about ICA’s role, Mahindroo said, “This magazine will be a publication of Mymobile Infomedia Pvt Ltd, which is a completely independent body. The ICA has been involved in the conceptualization of the company. Mymobile Infomedia will take all editorial decisions.”
