Divya Bhaskar releases Gujarat’s 100 Power List for 2005-06

On the completion of its 1,000 days, Divya Bhaskar has released a book containing profiles of the top 100 power people from business and industry, social work, art and literature, as also achievers and distinguished personalities of Gujarat.

A 100 Power List and book were released at a function organised to celebrate completion of 1,000 days of Divya Bhaskar recently. The event was organised at the Bhaskar House and was attended by Chairman of the Bhaskar Group, Ramesh Chandra Agrawal, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Praful Patel and SBI Mutual Fund MD & CEO, Deepak Chawla, among other noted dignitaries.

In his public address, Patel said, “Bhaskar Group has given a new platform and direction to Gujarat and Gujarati newspapers by introducing its Gujarati edition.” He congratulated Ramesh Chandra Agrawal for starting Divya Bhaskar edition in a record time of 180 days.

Commenting on the initiative of acknowledging the top 100 Gujaratis, Patel said, “Gujaratis have a unique style of living. Go in any corner of the world, and you will find that Gujaratis have developed trustworthiness for themselves. Such Gujaratis have made Gujarat prosperous. Today, Gujarat has become a model for various states of the country.”

Deepak Chawla added, “India should be proud of Gujarat and such functions set a new trend of honour.”

Actor and model Aarti Chhabaria anchored the show. 51 of the 100 power people were present on the occasion. The Minister of State for Civil Aviation felicitated them with a shawl, while ghazal singer Manhar Udhas enthralled the elite gathering.
