CMP-CyberMedia launch monthly magazine ‘Global Services’

Specialty media house CyberMedia, in partnership with CMP Media, has announced the launch of the inaugural issue of its ‘Global Services’ magazine. CMP and CyberMedia had announced a joint venture in September last year to build this global media portfolio.

Targeted at global buyers of business and technology services, ‘Global Services’ will be a monthly publication with readership across the world. The magazine will provide its readers with a framework for laying strategies for globally sourcing people, processes and technologies.

Hoshie Ghaswalla, Managing Director, CMP CyberMedia LLC, said, “The ‘Global Services’ platform has two objectives, the first one being facilitating global service delivery for the customers and service providers of outsourcing services. Our other objective is to provide cost effective marketing solutions to the service providers in this industry.”

The primary reader would be the customer of outsourced ITO and BPO services, with a predominant readership in the US and Western Europe. The readership would also include the provider of ITO and BPO services across supplier destinations.

The magazine comprises a blend of global outsourcing news and happenings, research backed analysis, trends, vendor issues and expert views. The first issue of ‘Global Services’ brings out a special report on the Global Services 100, the world’s most innovative providers of BPO and ITO services. The report is based on an in-depth study by neoIT spanning 15 countries across the world, including the US, India, China, the Philippines, the CIS, and Mexico.

A novel feature of ‘Global Services’ would be industry experts’ points of view along with columns by industry veterans as regular features. The inaugural issue carries contributions by Atul Vashistha of neoIT, Paul Schmidt and Jim Hussey of TPI, Rita Terdiman and Debashish Sinha of Conscient Partners, among others.

According to Rusty Weston, Editor-in-Chief, “‘Global Services’ is about world-class collaboration with our coverage spanning both onshore and offshore outsourcing. The vast majority of our coverage will explore point of pain and potential opportunities for buyers of business and technology services.”

A multi shore team spanning the US and India drives the ‘Global Services’ brand, which is an integrated media platform including the website and global seminars.

The magazine launch coincides with the first event, the Global Services Conference at New York on February 2, 2006.
