PRCI Gold award to Aim High Consulting for Flipkart
Bangalore-based Aim High Consulting’s PR campaign for Flipkart has been recognised by Public Relations Council of India
Bangalore-based holistic communication consulting firm, Aim High Consulting, has bagged a Gold in the ‘Outstanding PR Case Study’ category at the Global PR Conclave 2012, held in Mumbai earlier this week. Aim High was honoured by the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) for its work in 2011 for online retailer Flipkart.
Aim High Consulting is currently in its third year of PR engagement with Flipkart. The PRCI award recognises Aim High’s PR effort that has resulted in Flipkart gaining high share-of-voice in national and international media.
Speaking on the award, N Ravi Shankar, CEO, Aim High Consulting, said, “We are happy that our category-defining PR performance has been recognised and rewarded by PRCI. We view our success with Flipkart as an illustration of PR in India coming of age – from being an ‘intermediary business’ to becoming a ‘knowledge-based business’. We represent a paradigm, which insists that PR should be seen as a business function and not merely as a marketing function. We have tried to put this thinking into practice, while we work with start-ups who are on a high growth path, thereby playing the role of a strategic knowledge partner. This, I believe, is the reason for our success with Flipkart and many other corporates we work with.”
Over 35 companies across major cities in India rely on Aim High for a variety of Ad, PR and Internal Communication solutions. 3M India, Helion Advisors, Manjushree Technopack, Azure Power, Dhingana, Edusports, Space Matrix, BCIL and Lok Capital are some of Aim High’s clients. Aim High was founded in 2007 by N Ravi Shankar and G Gopinath.
“From the many entries, the jury panel felt that the case study presented by Aim High Consulting stood out for the range and depth of the media outreach attempted. The last year has seen the re-emergence of ecommerce and Flipkart was conspicuous by their presence in top of the line national and international media. The agency deserves credit for chronicling the Flipkart story and keeping pace with a brand that has rapidly transformed into a household name,” said MB Jayaram, Chairman Emeritus and Chief Mentor, PRCI.
Established in 2004, Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) is one of India's largest communities of public relations and communication professionals, and academicians, engaged in providing training, setting standards of professional excellence, and upholding principals of ethics in the PR industry. Global PR Conclave 2012 was a platform for setting the direction for the PR fraternity, as well as recognising outstanding performers from the industry.
