Volvo appoints Eric Leblanc as MD, Volvo, India

Volvo has appointed Eric Leblanc (46) as the new Managing Director to succeed Ulf Nordqvist in Volvo, India. Ulf Nordqvist will return to Volvo in Sweden to take up position in Volvo Truck Corporation, Head Office. Eric brings with him vast experience and expertise through his association with Volvo over the last 15 years.

Eric will move to Volvo in India from Volvo, Morocco, where he has been the Managing Director since 2002. During his tenure in Morocco, he was responsible for the truck, bus and construction equipment divisions of the company. He also represented Volvo Trucks, South America, as the Chief Financial Officer of Volvo do Brasil from 2000 to 2002. Prior to that, for three years, Eric was the Deputy Head of Volvo Construction Equipment, South America and was based in Brazil.

In the past few years, Volvo has established a strong image and foundation across all business areas. Eric Leblanc, in his new role, will continue to work towards building the strength of the Volvo brand in India and focus on customer satisfaction. Eric holds an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Brussels, Belgium.
