Vaishnavi revamps top management, Smarth Bali appointed MD

Vaishnavi Corporate Communications has rejigged its top management. The company has brought in Smarth Bali as Managing Director, while CEO Vishal Mehta will now take on the larger role of CEO of the entire Vaishnavi Group. He would continue to remain on the boards of Vaishnavi Corporate Communications and Vaishnavi Group.

Bali brings with him two decades of experience in the global marketing and communications industry. His previous assignments include ASB Communications, New York, Saatchi & Saatchi, Western Union Moneygram, HSBC Bank, ADT Security, Government of Australia, Government of France, Government of Malta and Grey Worldwide, among others.

Announcing the appointment, Niira Radia, Chairperson, Vaishnavi Group, said, “The emerging challenges of the industry require consultancies like Vaishnavi to take a global view of issues. Smarth, with his vast global experience, will be the key in taking Vaishnavi Corporate Communications to the next level. It’s an exciting phase for the entire industry, and we are pursuing our growth initiatives.”

Vaishnavi’s services include corporate affairs, public relations, media training, media monitoring and analysis. Some of its clients include companies in the Tata Group, channels within the STAR portfolio, companies in the ITC Group, Raymond Ltd, Nortel India, Shringar Cinemas, Barista, Sun Microsystems India, e-bay India, and Kotak Life Insurance, among others.
