TNS appoints Ashok Anantharaman as Senior VP

TNS India has appointed Ashok Ananthraman as Senior Vice-president to spearhead the business, technology and finance (BTF) research and consulting unit. In his new role, Ananthraman will be based in Delhi and will report to TNS India, Director, Ganapathy Subramanian.

Prior to joining TNS India, Ananthraman had worked with Hindustan Motors as Chief General Manager for two years, where he used to handle Mitsubishi products and the Ambassador.

Commenting on the new appointment, Subramanian said, “Ashok brings with him a wealth of industry experience and an innovative approach to business, something TNS regards as being the very lifeblood of any successful company. He’s had a broad range of experience that he brings to TNS as well as significant skills, which will help identify, develop and build new business opportunities.”

Ananthraman has over 21 years’ experience across companies such as Eicher, Enfield, Ford New Holland, General Motors and Mitsubishi. He has been closely involved with several finance and insurance companies as part of his responsibilities. A mechanical engineer from BITS Pilani and armed with a PGDM from IIM Bangalore, Ananthraman has substantial experience on the industry side, especially in the automotive sector. His experience covers marketing, sales, dealer development, spare management, distribution, channel finance, insurance, used-car business initiative, etc.

Commenting on his new role, Ananthraman said, “I look forward to this new challenging assignment in the current scenario where the Indian economy is booming. I am confident that TNS will continue to improve its performance across all key markets as we meet the challenges of delivering the best of our business, technology and finance experience to our clients and sectors across borders.”
