The Hindu appoints Siddharth Varadarajan as Editor

Taking a new turn in the family-feud saga, the Board of Directors of Kasturi & Sons, which brings out the newspaper The Hindu, passed a resolution appointing Siddharth Varadarajan as the Editor of the newspaper on July 20, 2011.

Varadarajan is currently handling the Delhi Bureau as Head and will take over as the Editor on July 30, as per the decision taken by the Board.

Speaking to exchange4media, Varadarajan said, “I am truly honoured by the trust The Hindu Board has placed in me.”

Meanwhile, following the appointment of Varadarajan as Editor, in protest, N Ravi, Editor of The Hindu, resigned along with Executive Editor Malini Parthasarathy and Joint Editor Nirmala Lakshman.
