TBWA reinforces Delhi management team

TBWA\India has been busy beefing up its Delhi team. Close on the heels of Rajesh Kochhar being elevated to Vice President in charge of the Delhi operations, the agency has hired two senior creative talents. Tarvinderjit Singh comes on board as Group Creative Director, while Rishi Chanana has joined as Creative Director. Both Singh and Chanana would form the core management team of TBWA\Delhi along with Rajesh Kochhar and Head of Strategy, Kumud Ghoshal.

Commenting on the new appointments, National Creative Director Rahul Sengupta said, “Rishi and Tarvinderjit bring kilowatts of energy into TBWA. Their approach to advertising is infectiously positive and their work will stop many a consumer in their tracks. We trust their young blood to stir advertising out of its stupor.”

Singh moves from McCann Erickson, where he was Creative team leader. He brings with him over 10 years of experience in the advertising business, with previous stints in Leo Burnett, O&M and Grey Worldwide. He has worked on accounts like Coca-Cola, UNICEF, Thums Up, Samsung, Alpenliebe, Royal Stag, Big Babol, GM, Dabur and Metlife.

On his appointment, Tarvinderjit Singh said, “The opportunity at TBWA\ Delhi is both scary and motivating. It is not easy being the custodian of the creative product when the brand you are representing is TBWA\. I am looking forward to working with the young and talented team here to live up to the name.”

Chanana moves from Rediffusion Y&R, where he was Associate Creative Director. He has over 10 years’ experience in the advertising business, with previous stints in O&M and TBWA\ Dubai. He has worked on brands such as Airtel, Amway, Bacardi, Fanta, Gillette, Kinley, Seagram in India and Nissan, Pedigree and Virgin Radio out of TBWA\ Dubai. Chanana has seen consistent success at award shows, including at Cannes, the One Show, London International, New York Festival, Communication Arts, Art Directors Club, Lynx Advertising Festival and the Young Guns.

On joining TBWA\Delhi, Chanana said, “Having worked in TBWA\Dubai, I was exposed to the creative DNA of TBWA\ and it is this passion for doing cutting edge creative that has brought me back.”
