Sriram joins Captain TV as Head of Marketing

Sriram, who had recently quit Imayam TV as Head of Marketing, has joined Captain TV in a similar capacity. He tool charge from May 3 and reports to LK Sudeesh, Managing Director, Captain TV and brother-in-law of Vijayakanth. Sriram will be responsible for generating revenue for the company through air time sales and advertisements sales at Captain TV.

Sriram has over 20 years of experience in the media and adverting industry. Starting his career with Getit Yello Pages, he has worked with Puma Advertising and Raj Television Network. In his last assignment, he was heading marketing at Imayam TV, a Tamil satellite channel promoted by Channel Bharat Entertainment Pvt Ltd.

Captain TV, a Tamil satellite channel launched by actor-turned-politician Vijaykanth on April 14, 2010, will start airing news bulletins from May 16. Sriram said that the channel was available across Tamil Nadu on SCV and non-SCV platforms, thus reaching almost 100 per cent C&S homes across the state.
