Showdiff Worldwide appoints Alok Rakshit as COO

Showdiff Worldwide, which is a joint venture between former cricketer Ravi Shastri and Rediffusion DYR, has appointed Alok Rakshit as Chief Operating Officer to spearhead its operations and overall business growth. Prior to his appointment, Rakshit was Director of Big Bang Media, which is the exclusive ad sales concessionaire and content provider for Sify.com.

Rakshit has an overall experience of 12 years in the media industry and has worked with reputed organisations such as Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd (BCCL), Channel 4 Network in UAE, TV Today Network, and ETC and Zee Music of the Zee Group. Having worked in various media including print, TV, Internet, radio and events, Rakshit has excelled in the functions of sales, marketing and business development.

Commenting on his appointment, Conrad Saldanha, CEO, Showdiff Worldwide, said, “Alok Rakshit has been working in the media space for more than a decade. With his rich and varied experience, he will provide the added impetus to our young and dynamic team across the country.”

“I am delighted to be working with Showdiff as it offers an array of services in the domains of celebrity management, event management, content syndication and sports marketing. The company has recently entered into a strategic partnership with Havas Sports, the sports marketing arm of the global Havas Group. It would be a challenge for me to control the overall operations of the company and ensure its steady growth over a period of time,” said Rakshit, commenting on his new responsibility.
