Rajesh Kaul joins TheOneAlliance-MSM Discovery as President

TheOneAlliance-MSM Discovery Pvt Ltd has appointed Rajesh Kaul as President. He took charge from September 1. Kaul moves from ESPN, where he had been heading the distribution and marketing nationally for ESPN Software since its establishment. He was also instrumental in the launch of Star Cricket.

Confirming the development, Kunal Dasgupta, CEO, Multi Screen Media Pvt Ltd, said, “We are extremely happy to have such a senior talent on board who brings with him a rich experience of distribution and is behind many success stories in the past.”

Rahul Johri, SVP & General Manager, South Asia, Discovery Networks Asia Pacific, said, “Rajesh’s extensive experience and strong relationships at both national and regional level will allow the company to expand its network and explore newer opportunities. We are excited to have Rajesh in our team.”

On his new role, Kaul said, “I am really happy to be part of TheOneAlliance bouquet and look forward to working with the entire team to graduate the business.”

TheOneAlliance is a joint venture between Multi Screen Media India Pvt Ltd (the erstwhile SET India Pvt Ltd) and Discovery Communications India. The company started with the ‘home’ channels, Sony Entertainment Television, MAX, AXN, Discovery Channel and Animal Planet.
