Prabhakar Mundkur of JWT moves to Percept H as COO

After a stint of seven months, Prabhakar Mundkur has decided on his destination next. Leaving his duties as Business Development Director, JWT, he has joined Percept H as COO. Mundkur joined the organisation on January 3, 2005 and would be reporting to Rajesh Pant, CEO.

Sharing more on his new assignment, Mundkur expresses, “I was looking forward to being in a line job than a staff job, as was the case with my role at JWT. Also, Percept H is an aggressive agency. It’s been successful already and I am looking forward to my job here.”

As for his mandate, he says, “My immediate mandate is to develop new businesses and train the talent here.” Prior to JWT, Mundkur played the role of President, Everest Integrated Communications before which he was with Euro RSCG for almost five years.

Pant is excited with this addition. Says he, “I’m glad and proud to be working with a talent like Prabhakar. With his experience, I am sure he will be a valuable asset to the agency and consolidate our position further.”

Pant shares that there have been other senior level appointments at Percept H across regions recently. In Chennai, Suresh Mohan Kumar of Contract has joined as Branch Director, who too would be reporting to Pant. Also, ex-O&M Sujai Srivastav has joined the Delhi office as Client Servicing Director.

“These are important additions and essentially show that Percept today is in a position to attract talent,” expresses Pant, “With Prabhakar coming in, of course, we are soon going to affect changes in our structure.”
