P S Sunder elevated as National Marketing Head of Hero Honda

Come April, P.S. Sunder, who is currently Zonal Manager-South for Hero Honda, has been made General Manager, Marketing, and will head marketing functions of the two-wheeler major. He replaces Pradeep Saxena, who recently moved to Hyundai Motor India Limited as General Manager, Marketing. He will assume his new responsibility in April and move to Delhi.

Talking to exchange4media, Atul Sobti, Executive Director-Business Operations, Hero Honda, said, "This is a strategic move. Sunder has been with Hero Honda for a long time and he fits in well with this profile."

Sunder will be responsible for the overall marketing strategies and functions starting from strategic marketing, planning and pricing research to CRM, communication strategy and advertising.

Of his 21-year career, Sunder has spent 18 years with Hero Honda. He joined the company in 1987 as a sales officer and then moved on to look after the Tamil Nadu operations. He steadily climbed the corporate ladder, assuming responsibility for the entire southern market.

Said Sunder, "My association with the company has been very exciting. I started from a small part of Tamil Nadu, moved on to look after TN and Kerala and then the entire south. I am looking forward to my new role."
