O&M Chennai’s Abraham Alapatt moves to Reliance Capital as Associate VP- Marketing Comm

Abraham M Alapatt, Director-Client Services, O&M, Chennai, has quit to join Reliance Capital Asset Management Ltd as Associate VP-Marketing Communication. He takes up his new assignment from December 20 and will relocate to Mumbai.

Commenting on his move, Alapatt said, “It’s a challenging new business for me, a sunrise industry, and there are a whole lot of things to learn. I am looking forward to the new set of challenges. Ogilvy has been a great experience, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my stint here.”

Meanwhile, search is on for his replacement at O&M, Chennai.

Besides handling a bouquet of clients, Alapatt had led the team that won the WPP Worldwide partnership programme in 2003, and implemented the Ad-PR programme to eliminate Filariasis. He was also responsible for several business acquisitions, including TTDC, ITC, Nippo and Sify.

Alapatt had joined O&M as Account Manager in 2000. Prior to O&M, he had been with Chennai-based Goldwire Communications for four years, handling clients like MRF, Burns Philip and TTK Pharma.
