OgilvyAction appoints R Subramaniyam as National Head of Ogilvy Live

OgilvyAction, a division of O&M, has appointed R Subramaniyam as National Head for Ogilvy Live. He will be based in Mumbai. Subramaniyam, popularly known as Subu, has over 15 years’ experience in advertising and integrated marketing, with focus on events and promotions.

Commenting on Subramaniyam’s appointment, Sanjay Thapar, Group President-North & East, O&M, said, “Ogilvy as an agency has truly and firmly believed in offering 360-degree communication solutions. Subu’s appointment strengthens our position in the Live space significantly and demonstrates our belief in this even more. I am happy to have him with us as his experience will help provide our clients and brands new and innovative solutions in this space.”

Subramaniyam began his career in advertising with Everest. He moved to the events space with HTA Events (now JWT) followed by Percept D’mark and Publicis Dialog (the below the line agency of Publicis India). In his last assignment, Subramaniyam was responsible for Publicis Dialog’s Mumbai office.

He has had experience with clients across several verticals, including ICICI Lombard, Citigroup Smith Barney, Godrej Sara Lee,, Bisleri, and Emami Navratna Oil, among others.
