Mindshare appoints Wendy Walker as Regional Chief Growth Officer

Mindshare has appointed Wendy Walker as Regional Chief Growth Officer for Asia Pacific. She will be based in Singapore. In her role as Mindshare’s Chief Growth Officer APAC, Walker will work with the leadership team in the region to build greater momentum behind prospecting, pitching and selling Mindshare’s products and services to new and existing clients. Her focus will be on accelerating top-line growth. She will also spearhead Mindshare’s brand marketing and PR efforts in the region.

Wendy brings over 20 years of marketing experience. She joins Mindshare from Australia, where she was most recently CMO at iiNet. Prior that this, she was Marketing Director at Telstra, with responsibility for relationship marketing, B2B and government, international marketing communications, award programmes and events. She has also worked as the Head of Marketing for the MBF Group and at Ansett Australia in the early part of her career.

Commenting on Walker’s appointment, Ashutosh Srivastava, Chairman Asia/ CEO, Growth Markets at Mindshare said, “We are delighted to welcome Wendy into the Mindshare network. Her extensive experience as a senior marketer will provide great insight into how we can even further improve our offering to our clients. Her track record of identifying core customer insights and translating those into tangible strategies and results is an ability we plan to leverage across the business. Having worked all her career on the client side, Wendy will no doubt add immense value to our new business prospecting and pitching process, given her understanding of what clients look for from an agency partner.”

Walker will build on Mindshare’s successful track record by focusing on adaptive products and technology that will deliver even greater results to current clients, as well as delivering a vision for new clients that is too compelling to ignore. She takes over from Kevin Rooney, who has moved into a new role as Managing Director for m/SIX Asia Pacific.

On her new role, Walker said, “I’m thrilled to have joined the Mindshare family and to have the opportunity to work with such a talented and diverse team across the region. Having worked closely with agency partners throughout my career, I’m really looking forward to using my marketing experience to contribute to the Mindshare business and our clients.”
