MediaTurf beefs up team with 10 key appointments

MediaTurf has added 10 new hands to its task force. The agency has also placed Praveen Varshney as Head of its Bangalore office. V Ramani, CEO, MediaTurf, believes that with the kind of growth that Internet and Online advertising is seeing, the new expertise will allow MediaTurf to continue its quest to ride the second wave of the Internet age.

Varshney comes as Business Head of the Bangalore operations. Commenting on his new responsibility, he said, “I am happy with my new assignment as the Bangalore Business Head of India’s most respected interactive agency. I feel bullish about the kind of growth and impetus that we can give to the market.”

He brings with him 11 years of experience in the hospitality, telecom and media industry. Varshney started his own venture and was instrumental in setting up Mobile Mantra operations and Software development centre in New Delhi. Following this, he went on to head regional sales for CIOL for the Bangalore and Mumbai markets.

Said Ramani, “I find in Praveen a unique combination of experience in both the mobile and the Internet. His knowledge and business sense gives me huge confidence.”

Amongst the others who have come on board are Nagesh G Wagh, who has joined as Assistant Manager, Client Consulting. Wagh was working as Major Account Manager with Monster.com prior to joining MediaTurf. Ashutosh Srivastava has joined as Senior Manager, Mobile Marketing. He was earlier with Intrex India Ltd as Assistant Manager, Sales & Marketing.

Chaandni Sondhi has joined as a designer. She was working as Creative Designer with Theeopoly Softserve Pvt Ltd, New Delhi. Sonali Suryakant Hadkar has joined as Executive, Operations. Prior to this, she was working as Content Coordinator with Jasubhai Interactive. Kalpana Nair has come in as Senior Manager, Client Consulting.

Nilofer M Asrani has joined as Assistant Manager, Client Consulting. She was earlier Team Leader with Hungama.com. Snehal Kandahar has joined as Assistant Manager, Business Development. She moves from Hungama.com, where she was Accounts Manager. Usha Rohini, has joined as Manager, Client Servicing. She was an Executive in Marketing communication with AOL Mobile, Bangalore.

Mohammed Faizy has joined as Senior Designer. He was earlier with Coddo Net Technologies as Senior Web Designer. Nelson Fernandes has joined as Manager, Search. He moves from Diamond Ocean.com – Maplewood Trading, Mumbai, where he was consultant Search Engine Optimisation Specialist.

MediaTurf had recently lost some key people when seniors from the organisation like Ratish Nair moved out to form another agency Interactive Avenues.
