M&C Saatchi appoints Rajiv Sabnis as Mumbai head; Anjali Nayar to head Delhi

M&C Saatchi India, the Indian arm of the UK-based M&C Saatchi Worldwide, has made two key appointments – Rajiv Sabnis as Executive Director and Anjali Nayar as Director-Client Services.

Sabnis, the former COO of Ambience Publicis, will now head M&C Saatchi's Mumbai operations. He comes with 20 years of experience in advertising with prior stints at Contract and Everest Saatchi & Saatchi. With M&C Saatchi's prestigious Jet Airways business in the midst of rapid global expansion, Sabnis’ mandate would be to partner Jet Airways in its ambitions and further strengthen M&C Saatchi's business in the western region.

Nayar will lead M&C Saatchi's Delhi operations. With over 19 years of experience in the direct marketing business, she has previously worked with Lintas, Bates, 141 Worldwide and RMG Connect. At M&C Saatchi, she will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and further expand M&C Saatchi's extremely successful Delhi operations.

Commenting on these appointments, Kamal Oberoi, CEO, M&C Saatchi, said, "Rajiv Sabnis and Anjali Nayar both are highly regarded professionals and will enrich our teams further with their experienced leadership. Their distinguished track records and understanding of clients across sectors will benefit our existing clients and help in attracting new businesses and talent greatly. Rajiv and Anjali both have embraced M&C Saatchi's credo – 'Brutally simple thinking' – in all spheres of life and will take the organization to next level of success. I wish them luck in this new journey with us."

Sabnis said, "M&C Saatchi has already carved a niche for itself in the industry and has some prestigious clients. I would like to leverage its assets and take the agency to higher level. So far, my responsibilities have spanned from managing and motivating talented teams to growing revenues and profits for my organisations, besides starting up business verticals. I'm delighted to take this opportunity at M&C Saatchi and contribute towards its growth and further expansion."

Nayar said, "I've been in direct marketing for most part of my professional career and would now like to apply my knowledge in mainstream advertising. M&C Saatchi is just the right platform to do the same. It is a challenging opportunity and I'm looking forward to this new and exciting journey with M&C Saatchi."
