Manoj Sharma bids adieu to India TV as Group Business Head

Manoj Sharma has quit India TV as Group Business Head. He had joined India TV in January 2010 and has been responsible for the business expansion of all group companies, including Independent News, India TV Interactive, Independent Media, Studio Brahma and India TV Mission.

Commenting on the development, Ritu Dhawan, Managing Director and CEO, India TV, said, “Manoj came with a rich experience of the publishing business last year, when we were working on a publishing project. But the project is on hold for a while as our next channel has taken precedence over the plan for print. We wish him the best and look forward to work with him in future.”

Prior to joining India TV, Sharma had worked with India Today and CNBC-TV18. He had joined India Today in 1990 and got to head the launch of quite a few of their new products like ‘Cosmopolitan’ and ‘Today’, and the afternoon newspaper. Sharma has 20 years of experience, of which 18 years were with the India Today Group.
