Manav Dhanda quits as Network Programming Head of Big FM

After brief stint of seven months, Manav Dhanda, Network Programming Head, Big FM has moved on from the organisation. This was his second stint with RBNL, wherein he was consulting them.

“I decided to move on a month back and it was a completely personal decision. Right now I am on a break; having said that, I am consulting a number of start-ups. Somewhere down the line I might focus on starting a venture of my own,” said Dhanda on his decision.

He is currently an advisor to a number of start-ups, including Yowoto and Getstealdeal. Dhanda expressed that media is in his heart and he will always be focused on it.

Dhanda has almost 15 years of experience in the field of media and entertainment. He had first joined RBNL in 2006 and had worked with the organisation for around two and a half years as Senior Vice President, Big FM. In 2008, he moved on to Big Broadcasting, where he spent another year.

After his first stint with RBNL, he moved on to WorldBand Media, where his mandate was to drive long term engagement for its HumDesi Radio Network. He moved back to RBNL in 2012.

Prior to RBNL he had an 11-month stint with Midi Tech (wherein he got in shows such as ‘Fame Gurukul’, ‘Indian Idol’ and ‘Deal Ya No Deal’). He first tried his hands on radio as AVP & Programming Head (Mumbai) of Radio Mirchi.
